For immediate release: January 15, 2019
During the past month, Detectives assigned to the WEB Task force have been investigating claims that a male party was selling suspected, Fentanyl pills and other narcotics in and around Bridgewater and the surrounding communities. Throughout the course of this investigation, Detectives from the WEB Task Force, Mass State Police Narcotics Unit and Narcotics Detectives from the Pawtucket Police Department investigated claims that one such individual later identified as Mr. John Bagley 44 years of North Street Bridgewater, was arranging drug sales from the confines of his home in Bridgewater and distributing narcotics from his vehicle throughout the area. Upon developing probable cause that Mr. Bagley was involved in narcotics distribution, Detectives applied for and were granted search Warrants for Mr. Bagley’s home, vehicle, and his place of business. At approximately 1PM on January 14, 2019 WEB Task Force Detectives with the assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Narcotics unit and the Pawtucket Police Detective Unit, executed these search warrants. A search of Mr. Bagley’s home, business and vehicle produced several items consistent with narcotics distribution. Suspected items such as scales, packaging, Illegal pills, multiple phones, and money (approximately $3,000) consistent with streel level sales of Narcotics were seized during the search. Detectives also seized Mr. Bagley’s vehicle as it was a main instrument in his narcotics distribution operation, and will be submitting for forfeiture through the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office. Mr. Bagley was taken into custody without incident and was transported back to the Bridgewater Police Department for booking. He is being charged with Possession with intent to Distribute a Class A Substance (Fentanyl) and Possession of a Class B substance.
The WEB task force is a collaborative effort of the five agencies to proactively investigate narcotics crimes and other major crimes that plague our communities
