Our town has always taken pride in the 9/11 display at the Police & Fire Department by town resident Bill Kovatis, who, year after year works tirelessly in his efforts to create a touching memorial. This past year, he and members of the WB Police & Fire Departments have forged together to create a 9/11 Memorial Committee. They have teamed up with a local landscape design architect and have plans to create a permanent memorial to display the steel given to us, which was salvaged from the World Trade Center site.

So far, this project has been funded by both the WB Police & Fire Associations, along with a generous donation from Bridgewater Savings Bank. In order to properly compete this project, they have set up a GoFundMe page. Please consider donating to this worthy cause by clicking on the link below. If you prefer to donate by check, please make check payable to EITHER West Bridgewater Police Assoc. OR West Bridgewater Fire Assoc, reference “9/11 Memorial” on the memo line and mail to 99 West Center St West Bridgewater MA 02379. Thank you!!!
