I grew up in West Bridgewater and graduated from West Bridgewater Middle-Senior High School in 2018. I then attended Westfield State University and graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. I am currently working towards completing my Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. I was hired by the West Bridgewater Police Department as a dispatcher in September 2022. I had the privilege of being offered a position as a full-time Police Officer and began the police academy in December 2023. I graduated from the Randolph Police Academy in May 2024 and began my career as a police officer the following week. Prior to becoming a police officer, I worked for a landscaping company in the area.
HOBBIES:
In my free time I enjoy anything outdoors including fishing, playing and watching sports, camping, snowmobiling, snowboarding, and spending time with family and friends.
HARDEST PART OF THE JOB:
The hardest part of being a police officer is the constant criticism we experience on a daily basis. This is a profession where we deal with people at the lowest points of their lives and the daily threat towards police is always increasing. Certain stereotypes and negative opinions the media portrays of police does not always contain all of the facts. This job requires us to work weekends, holidays, and birthdays and balancing work life and home life can be challenging at times.
BEST PART OF THE JOB:
The best part of being a police officer is being able to interact with the community and make a positive impact. The most rewarding part of this job is leaving a call, community event, or even a brief interaction with someone knowing you made a positive impact on their life or helped them during a time in need. I strive to be a role model for young kids and show them that the police are on their side.
WHY DID I BECOME A POLICE OFFICER:
I wanted to be a police officer ever since I was a kid. My father and grandfather were both police officers and I always wanted to follow in their footsteps. I have always wanted to pursue a career where I can help people and being able to serve the community I grew up in is a lifelong dream.
