I graduated high school in Caracas, Venezuela and then attended two years at Santa Maria University’s School of Law. I then migrated to the United States and arrived here when I was 21 years of age. Before becoming a police officer, I spent a few years as an insurance investigator and later worked in retail loss prevention. I am scheduled to start Criminal Justice graduate school in September of this year. Before transferring here, I worked for 8 ½ years in the Abington Police Department, where I was assigned to the midnight shift and spent several years as a police prosecutor. I am entering my 2nd year in West Bridgewater and love my new location.
HOBBIES:
I enjoy baseball, soccer and any other outdoor activities. I also enjoy camping with my family and friends.
HARDEST PART OF YOUR JOB:
Police stereotypes. In today’s climate, police stereotypes give way to misconceptions and misunderstandings about who we are as people and what we really do as police professionals. Also, doing shift work sacrifices many precious moments with family.
BEST PART OF YOUR JOB:
The opportunity to work with like-minded individuals who share the same views about the profession. Also, the police cars, the training and the tools that we use to perform our duties are honestly, awesome!
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A POLICE OFFICER:
Being a police officer is a fun and rewarding career that gives us the opportunity to help others, save lives and give back to the communities that have given so much to us.
