Officer Jacob Sosik

Background: I grew up in Stratford, CT, where I graduated from Stratford High School in 2014. I then attended Springfield College, earning a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. I began my law enforcement career with the New Haven Police Department, where I worked for 5 years. Three years ago, I relocated to the South Shore of MA and continued my career at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Most recently, I was hired by the West Bridgewater Police Department in April 2026.

Hobbies: Outside of work, I enjoy spending as much time as possible outdoors with my family, friends, and dogs. I value activities that keep me active, including trail running, kayak fishing, and working out.

Hardest Part of the Job: People typically do not call the police on their best day, so one of the hardest parts of the job is seeing people during some of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of their lives.

Best Part of the Job: One of the best parts of the job is that every day is different. No two days are ever the same. Each shift brings new experiences, opportunities to help others, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the community.
