BACKGROUND: I graduated from West Bridgewater High School. Following graduation I worked in both the disaster restoration and pest control fields, respectively. I have been a certified Massachusetts EMT-B since 2006. While working, I obtained an Associate's Degree in Fire Science Technology and have nearly completed my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Bridgewater State University. I joined the West Bridgewater Police Department in 2014.
HOBBIES: I love traveling as much as possible and spending time with family and friends. I attend as many live sporting and concert events as I can throughout the year and enjoy playing hockey and golf.
HARDEST PART OF YOUR JOB: Like any first responder, the schedule of a Police Officer can be challenging, particularly during important family events and holidays. Additionally, we are often dealing with people at a difficult or low point in their lives.
BEST THING ABOUT BEING A POLICE OFFICER: The best part about being a Police Officer is the opportunity to help those in the community who have been the victim of crimes. From responding to the initial call for service, to the follow-up investigation and the chance to identify a suspect and bring them to justice never gets old. Additionally, responding to the wide array of other calls for service such as medical emergencies or car accidents can also be gratifying.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A POLICE OFFICER? I decided to become a Police Officer because I wanted a career that would allow me to make an impact on the community and society. ... See MoreSee Less

Winkler to pose with them in their "last day of Kindergarten" picture when he stopped in during a school check.
